Measure the gap between your component and heatsink with a feeler gauge or caliper. For most desktop GPU VRAM: 1.0–1.5mm. For M.2 SSD heatsinks: 0.5–1.0mm. For console cooling plates and power delivery: 1.0–2.0mm. For laptop VRAM and CPU shim contact: 0.5mm. If you're unsure, go slightly thicker - the pad compresses under mounting pressure and will fill small gaps.

Yes. Thermal pads are universal - they work regardless of CPU socket, GPU model, or device brand. Frostbite Pad is available in 100x100mm (trimmed to any shape), 120x20mm strips (4 pcs), and 70x20mm mix-thickness multipacks, covering virtually any cooling gap in PCs, laptops, consoles, and electronics.

The Retail version includes a foam holder, 6x alcohol wipes (3x wet and 3x dry), 2x cotton swabs, a spatula, and a resealable package. The Pad Only version is just the pad in an eco-friendly paper package - ideal if you already have cleaning supplies or are stocking up.

Yes. Frostbite Pads are soft and easy to cut with scissors or a craft knife. The 100x100mm sheet can be trimmed to any shape. The 120x20mm strips fit most VRAM rows and NVMe contacts directly. The 70x20mm multipacks provide ready-cut strips for smaller components.

Thermal pads are generally single-use. Once compressed and heated, they conform to the surface and are difficult to remove cleanly. We recommend replacing the pad whenever you disassemble the component for best results.

Yes. Frostbite Pad is fully electrically insulating (6 KV/mm per ASTM D149) and not electrically conductive. It's safe to use near PCB traces, SMD components, and memory chips - accidental overlap will not cause short circuits.
